🌻☕ From Behind the Counter to Behind the Blooms 🌼☕

Long before Woolly Bee Farm began, I was a store manager at Radina’s. Now, years later, I get to share something close to my heart: the flowers on their café tables, grown right here at our farm.

Next time you’re sipping your latte or grabbing a pastry, take a moment to notice the flowers—they’re thoughtfully grown, seasonal, and placed with intention to bring a little beauty to your day 💐✨

FarmHer's log 21 July 2025. With storms sitting on top of the farm, one after another this morning there's no way we are going outside. The farm crew still needs work though. What's there to do? Prep making lip balm!

Sometimes I can't make up how much chaos ensues with Farm Life. I was on my way to the farmers market this morning when I heard meowing coming from the back of my car. So I had to turn around and take these two little stowaways back to the farm. Kittens = never a dull moment. See you soon for Market Day. Manhattan! It's going to be a toasty one. Come get your flowers early!!

Same view, two different perspectives. I see this in so many ways at the farm. While giving tours of the farm, I only see the weeds as the “tourists” keep commenting on the beauty. Sometimes I see an endless to-do list, sometimes I see a task completed well. Sometimes I think this farm ruined my life but I also know that everyday since June 30, 2023 it has tested me, strengthened me and given me the opportunity to bring more joy and beauty into this community of mine.

June is a weird month for me. As the days get checked off the calendar and it gets closer to June 30, I feel my soul get more tightly wound. Ever wishing for that time machine or crystal ball I used to joke with that hospital staff as the one thing they could bring me. Always thinking, “I cannot go on. Yet I go on.”

So that's the view I choose. The storms of life will keep rolling by but I will choose to be optimistic and find the beauty.
