100% sound & healthy. No maintenance, no vices, barefoot with feet like a mountain goat. Excellent ground manners. Can live out 24/7 or in a stall.
Very low on the pecking order, we use him as a companion to wean the foals because of his gentleness.
He is fancy broke BUT needs a refresher! He has been my husband's trail & team penning horse for the last 8 years so the majority of his gates are walk, lope & full out galloping! 🤣
He will lead out alone or follow. Never a rear, buck or bolt.
100% solid on trails! NO spooking & will cross anything you point him at!
His only flaw is if you wake him up, he doesn't like to walk flat footed for a bit.... not really his fault, kinda a product of my husband's "style" of riding. He is NOT a push ride. He is very sensitive to cues so if you shift your seat, legs or hands he will lead change and/or counter canter because he thinks that what you want.
Easily fixed with a little work.

In fairness, this is the 1st time I have been on him in 2 years & he hadn't been ridden in 2 months so he was a little fussy with the bit & slow to take the right lead.
