🛑 Are your pets microchipped using a Save This Life microchip? 🐾
It has recently come to our attention that the Save This Life company has suddenly and without notice shut down. This poses a huge issue for pet-parents as they have unlinked their database from national registries. Currently, if your pet were to become lost, there would be no way for any clinic or veterinary hospital to access you or your pets information to get you reunited. This means you need to register your pet's microchip with a new company ASAP. Below we have attached a few links where you can re-register your pet's microchip.

We interrupt your coffee and donuts this morning to talk about FRED. Yes, Fred. He's still in his kennel hoping to go home. If we don't keep pushing him, out of sight, out of mind and then what??

As we've discussed, Fred is a super friendly, loving doggy who gets anxious when left alone. He needs a family that at least initially will be home quite a bit to help settle him in and then gradually work with him over time in being left alone for longer and longer periods. Outside of his anxiety, he's done great in the home environment and his prior foster reported he was good with cats and other dogs. Of note, Fred was also on Your Carolina's Four Legged Friends show in December where he was amazing for his interview, great for the car ride to Greenville and beautifully met all the folks on the CBS news set. Note: Fred is 4 yrs old, Mountain Cur Mix, 65lbs and he's one of our oldest intakes.

When you ask why I no longer groom Doodles...
It weighs on my heart seeing dogs like this day after day. I just cannot do it any longer.
*NOTE* None of these dogs are rescues. These are pet owners who choose to let their dogs get this way. I have always tried to help, educate etc and all I get is excuses and broken promises. I do this job because I love dogs more than anything and seeing this several times a week is too much. It's emotionally draining. That's why I made this difficult decision. As far as my regular doodle owners who do your part to keep your babies happy and healthy, we look forward to seeing you all soon. 🥰

Big news everyone!
We are making some changes here at HH. As most of you know, our business grew very quickly here in Walhalla. I'm so blessed and appreciate everyone for making our salon successful. With that being said, I have found I can't keep up and I'm falling away from the vision of how I wanted my business to run. We are going back to strict appointment schedules. My dream was a pet spa and here lately it has felt more like a circus. 🙄
We are adding a few new items as well, such as a towel warmer for snuggly warmth after bathtime, they're ahhh-mazing btw!
A massaging, oxygen infused nozzle for bathing, a new line of shampoo, facial and pawdicure products as well.
We will also have a canine massage therapist that will be available this spring.
New paint, lighting, wifi, TV, and some other surprises coming soon. Thank you all again for making Happy Houndz successful!

Dear HH friends, I appreciate all of you more than you know but I am pleading that you do not let your furbabies potty anywhere on this side of the street. My lease does not include any property outside and the property is privately owned. If your furbaby needs to potty use the grassy area across the street at the hedges. If they p**p please pick it up. We can supply p**p bags or will clean it up for you but let us know right away. I am very blessed to have this location and would like to continue to be here, so I greatly appreciate everyone's help on this matter. Thank you all, Tammy
