Whether you’ve been there, done that in your riding career and looking for a fresh approach with a new instructor, or maybe you’ve never been on a horse, let alone pet one, Heartwork has a space for you!

Heartwork Riding Program is now accepting new students!

Whether you have a horse of your own and are in 40 miles of Waldorf looking for a travel trainer or looking to take lessons at a facility.

Rooted in classical dressage principles, Heartwork focuses on building correct, balanced riders while always putting the horse’s well-being first. We prioritize softness, communication, and understanding over force because horses aren’t machines, they’re partners.

Riders can expect a well-rounded education, with opportunities to explore multiple disciplines. While instruction is primarily English-based (my strongest background), I’m happy to work with riders interested in western or simply finding their own path in the saddle.

New to horses? You’re welcome here.
Whether you’ve never touched a horse or you’re looking to refine your skills, lessons are tailored to meet you where you are. We focus on safety, confidence, and building a genuine connection with the horse from day one.

What does Heartwork offer?
•Lessons onsite at Twilight Acres.
•Lessons offsite to provide a tailored program for you and your personal horse or horses.
•Training/Exercise rides and tune-ups.

My program is diverse, with a vested interest in communication and understanding the horse.

Adults and children alike are welcome, I am fully inclusive in my program.

I teach a solid dressage foundation giving my riders the ability to blossom from there. Any direction you wish to take, I am all for it. I have the most experience teaching dressage, huntseat, equitation and jumpers but i will not turn you down if you wish to ride western, as thats where I started. I have riders most times switch off and on english and western to give diversity to my program and broaden their skillset.

My program is all in good fun. Riders leave smiling, happy, excited to learn more. I have been renowned for my ability to work and help regulate my riders when they become tense and stressed. We go at your pace, and I know the right time to push once you feel confident in your abilities.
