This has taken out both our phone lines and access to our schedule and electronic medical records systems.

Happy 4th of July!

We will be closed Friday in honor of the 4th.

Business hours will resume with our typical half day of service on Saturday the 5th from 8am-noon.

Doctors will be available by phone for after hours emergencies for our current clients and patients.

To our clients living in and around Blue Grass:

Blue Grass Days is quickly approaching, with a fireworks display scheduled for 9pm on Saturday June 7th.

We know many of our patients struggle with anxiety from storms and fireworks, so now is the time to prepare to keep your pet calm and safe during the shows.

Consider keeping your pets in a windowless area of the house, have background noise from a radio or TV on, and use pheromone sprays or clothing to help relax them.

In some cases, veterianrian prescribed medications can also help to reduce anxiety.

If you think you pet may benefit from medication to help with storm and firework fear and anxiety, call us today!

In observance of Memorial Day, the clinic will be closed Monday May 26th.

We will resume normal business hours on Tuesday at 8am.

As always, a doctor is on-call for pet or livestock emergencies for current clients and patients.

For any clients coming to the clinic today (Saturday April 12th), the city of Walcott is hosting a 5k for the QC Veteran Outreach Center. Races start at 8:30am and are expected to conclude between 10:30/11am.

Please leave yourself extra time to make it here as the races are expected to hold up traffic on the main roads of Walcott.

April is Prevention of Lyme Disease in Dogs Month!

Lyme disease affects both animals and humans and is the most commonly reported vector-borne illness in the United States.

Taking simple steps, such as maintaining your lawn, checking your dog for ticks after being outdoors, and using tick preventatives recommended by your veterinarian can help protect your dog from contracting Lyme disease.

Transmitted through tick bites, Lyme disease can be hard to detect and cause serious, recurring health issues. It's best to prevent it by preventing tick bites.

Hours for New Year’s Eve & Day:

Hello WVC pets & people!
As we head into the second holiday week, we wanted to share our availability to see your four legged friends for routine care and illnesses.

We will maintain our normal business hours Monday the 30th, and onward from Thursday Jan 2nd.

New Year’s Eve (Dec 31st) we will be available from 8am-noon.

We will be closed for New Year’s Day.

Emergency services will be available during the closure to current clients by dialing the main clinic line (563-284-6233).
