Greystone Farm stayed close to home for the Carolina Horse Park Spring Classic, hosted by Triangle Farms Horseshows and Barn— and what a weekend it was. We brought 7 incredible horses, reconnected with local barns, and loved having so many family and friends there cheering us on. Here’s a recap of a great show:

✨ Isla and Cat Sherry were absolute speed and style in the 1.0m jumpers — quick, handy, and beautifully controlled. After an injury and many weeks of stall rest, this was their first show back this year, making every round extra special.

🤩 Talia Al Ghuraibawi and Glamorous marched right into the big hunter ring like seasoned pros. In just their third 2’6” Derby, they tackled every high option and finished 9th, along with strong ribbons in their division. These two win the Brave award.

💅 Maren and Claim to Fame made their debut together with some lovely rounds. This was only the baby hunter’s second show and Maren’s first back in nearly 5 years!

🔥 Emmy Creek and True Balou, in only their second show together, stepped up from Long Stirrup to the 2’6” division and competed in their first-ever 2’6” Hunter Derby. They confidently took all the high options and delivered beautiful trips all weekend.

🥉 Krista Jones and Janita delivered consistently solid rounds. They earned 3rd in a large division (22) and 3rd in the Classic. Their 2’6” Derby included an unfortunate rail and a stare-down of the trot jump with the trot jump winning… the irony. 🤦‍♀️ Humbling, and yet, still very fun.

🥈 Hadley and Bonita tackled their first National Derby (3’-3’5”) together and absolutely rose to the occasion. First to go in the order, they laid down a beautiful trip taking every high option. They also earned top ribbons in their division with a 2nd over fences and 2nd under saddle. Mama Lacey could not have been more proud. 🥹

🥇🥇 Everly and Zipped Straight Up stole the show in the Walk/Trot division, winning both the equitation and pleasure classes.

Huge thank you, as always, to Dale Wright, Lauren, and the entire team for their dedication, support, and hard work behind every ride and ribbon.

Greystone took a small but mighty crew to Tryon at the end of April.

🥇🥈Liz and Duncan (After Eight) took home their very first blue ribbon in the USHJA 2’9! They also got a 2nd and other great ribbons in the 3’ Adults. It’s exciting to see this new partnership grow together.❤️

🥇🥈Krista and Janita had consistent rounds all week finishing first, second, fourth and fifth in the over fences and also got a piece of the hack.

Vera and Suzy (Crown K) made their debut in the 1.2 Junior Jumpers with beautiful rounds. It’s thrilling to watch these two develop and …the jumps at home keep getting bigger and bigger👀!

Vera and Catch (Catch Me 53) also competed in the 1.20 Junior Jumpers, finishing top placings in an incredibly competitive class.

As always, a huge thank you to Dale Wright, Lauren Donahue, and the entire team for their dedication, support, and hard work behind the scenes.

Sun, sand and sportsmanship! Team Greystone traded in their tall boots for beach baseball where Marcos and the gang showcased their hidden athletic talents (outside of the show ring). Turns out…we were actually pretty good! Stay tuned for a more detailed post of individual results over the two weeks in Venice.

Venice is a wrap! Great rides, great results and great fun.
