I so love it when our pet parents send in pics of German Shepherds they have adopted from our shelter. Sadie and Chloe are living the life of Riley in their forever home… and are even making friends with the resident cats. ❤️🐈🐾

Please plan ahead and be sure your pets are microchipped or have current, legible ID tags, calming medications if warranted and are SECURED INDOORS BEFORE the fireworks begin. Fourth of July is when more pets go missing than on any other day.

Sharing a post from Paworigins. It's no wonder that fireworks cause panic and pain in so many dogs. As we approach America's 250th birthday, celebrations are expected to be even louder than usual -- please bring your pets indoors and take extra precautions to shield them from the noise.

It’s always a super special day whenever one of our GSD rescues brings their new forever family back for a visit! Loved seeing Chloe, her new Sis, Sadie, and her new mom and dad. Happy fam!! ❤️🐾❤️🐾

It’s always bittersweet when one of our German Shepherd rescues gets adopted into their very own forever family. Today was one of those days, but it was harder than most. While I am over-the-moon happy that Chloe now has the most wonderful paw-parents in the world, it still made my eyes sting to watch her riding away in the backseat of her new mama’s car. This sweet girl and I bonded pretty tight during the nearly 2 exhausting, post-surgery weeks that I slept on the couch — so I could be close to her in her veterinarian-mandated crate (necessary to prevent her from opening up her spay incision for a second time). My own 3 GSDs scattered around and sleeping on the living room, Chloe in her doctor-mandated crate, and me on the couch within Chloe’s line of sight so she wouldn’t freak out. Yep. It made for a lot of special bonding moments.

03/30/26 - Found wandering on Halona Road in Wai'anae - friendly female pit mix. HHS is on the way to pick her up. Wearing a pink collar, but no microchip.
