Doing a home visit today for these two later today!!!!! Going to the vet right after to update their vaccinations and get heartworm and flea and tick medications.

They might be off to their new homes Wednesday!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Hard to believe these two large breed pups are still up for adoption at SCLP! They are such great pups—Bubba & Lacy. They need a fenced yard to hang out in. They are house trained. They must stay together AND their food and normal vet care is sponsored for life. Their owner passed but planned for their future needs.

Please consider them for your home if you don’t have other pets as they prefer to be the only pets.

What to Do If You Find a Stray Dog in Saunders County

If you find a stray dog in Saunders County, please follow these steps to help ensure the dog is handled safely and reunited with its owner if possible.

First, contact the Saunders County Sheriff’s Office @ 402.443.1000. The sheriff’s office is the primary authority responsible for handling stray animals in the county and can check reports of lost pets, get the pet scanned for microchips, or arrange proper handling of the dog.They pick them up and take them to Green Acre Animal Clinic for a five day hold.

After you have notified the sheriff’s office, please contact the local rescue organization. Letting the rescue know about the dog helps us keep track of animals found in the area, share information with people who may be looking for their missing pet, we can also scan for microchips and offer support if needed.

By contacting the sheriff first and the rescue second, you help ensure the dog is handled through the proper channels while also allowing rescue volunteers to assist with awareness and potential reunification.
