One Eyed “Jack”
This sweet man found himself in the shelter, and we had to bail him out. He is believed to be 3-5 years old, 11 pounds, vetted, and heartworm negative. His eye has been examined, and it’s been determined that it is an old injury and does not cause him any pain. Removing it would be purely cosmetic, and obviously, Jack excels in the looks department, so we decided not to put him through that surgery.
Jack is great in his kennel at night, although he’d rather be in a human bed snuggling. He enjoys going on walks and sunbathing as long as his person is close. He’s not a fan of being outside alone. Jack uses his foster siblings as pillows and enjoys a quick game of chase occasionally, but doesn’like to rough house. Having a K9 sibling doesn’t matter to him, as long as they are willing to share your lap with him. He shares laps nicely. Jack bonds hard and strong to his person. He warms up quickly for a Chihuahua, unsure for a few minutes, but by the 5-minute mark, he’s in your lap ready to snuggle. He needs a good fence or remain on a leash until he bonds with his person. Once he bonds, he is less likely to want to escape. He goes potty quickly on a leash, so a fence isn’t mandatory if you can make that commitment.
If you’d like more info on Jack, PM us, leave your number, and a good time for his foster to call or text, and they will answer any questions the best they can.
