To all my loving clients, I wanted to take a moment and explain what exactly made me close down so abruptly. I know I explained some reasons when I first closed down but there was alot more going on and now that I've had time to process everything I'm ready to share so here goes.
I was needing to cut back anyways because I felt I was pouring my whole heart into my work and neglecting my duties as a mother and wife.
The whole reason I started working from home was so I could accommodate my families needs. Let's just say, it all got ahead of me a little too fast.
I had already decided to cut back after the first of the year, then somthing happened that Noone expected. On December 11, My dad had an accident. He fell down some stairs and hit his head. It caused him to have a stroke. He was hauled away by ambulance and spend several weeks in ICU. During that time, he had a bunch of subclinical seizures and ended up being intubated for several weeks. Mind you, this happened during my Christmas rush. I tried my best to hold it together but my heart was no longer into the job and the stress of catering to everyone's needs got the best of me. I want to apologize for the confusion and frustration it caused by closing down the way I did. At the time it is what needed to be done.
Fast forward to now, my dad is out of the hospital and in a nursing home. He still has a very long road to recovery and we still are very unsure what his future will look like. My family is still my number 1 priority and that won't change.
The truth is, I miss my clients. I miss working with the dogs and building relationships with the clients.
I do not plan on opening my salon doors again because that's too much to take on at this time. Maybe some day down the road.
In the mean time, I've accepted a part time position at Country Critters Pet Grooming LLC in St. Johns.
They currently are not able to accommodate new clients but please go ahead and follow their page and keep an eye out for when they are again. I'd love to see you all again.
Thank you for all of your support over the years
