Meadowlawn had a great time last week at the ASCA National Specialty in Bryan, TX. We brought several gawky 6 month olds and had the pleasure to present a couple lovely bred by/co-bred specials, with great results. And then there’s this guy. After an amazing past few years winning BOB at 3 pre-shows and the National itself, among several other prestigious wins, it was time to shift gears and try some performance. Under the guidance of Char Gatz, a top obedience competitor & instructor, these past few months, Karson and I trialed in Novice B and came away with a respectable score of 193.5 and 4th place in a really large class! I almost didn’t trial him as I was feeling like we may not be quite ready to show, but I’m so glad we did. We both smiled through the run and look at this leap he surprised me with on his recall 😂. Love this dog so much ❤️
