Thanksgiving travel plans are made. The dog question is the one left open.

If it's your first time boarding your dog, the unknowns are the hard part. So here's what a stay looks like: your dog stays in Jackye and Todd's home, not a kennel run. Real couch, real yard, walks on their usual schedule, and a small group instead of forty barking strangers.

New dogs start with a meet and greet before any stay, so your dog has met us before drop-off day. That's the single biggest thing you can do to make Thanksgiving week easy, and the calendar fills first for small homes like ours.

Halloween was Friday. The candy is gone, but what it left behind in your yard isn't.

Dropped chocolate, candy wrappers, and xylitol sweetener from sugar free treats can sit in the grass for weeks. Vets warn that cleanup passes right after Halloween matter most, because dogs find the good smelling bits before you do.

Thanksgiving week is the busiest boarding stretch of the year, and small cage free homes like ours fill first.

One big reason: every new dog starts with a meet and greet, and that needs to happen before travel week, not during it. Book by early November and we'll get your dog in to meet us while the calendar still has room.
