Breeding and life update:
On December 5, I had a small softball sized tumor removed from my brain. I was in surgery for 10 hours but God is so good and they believe they got all of the tumor removed. π It was/is benign which is also wonderful news. I spent 5 days in the hospital and went home with 45 staples in my head. Recovery has been soooo much slower than I anticipated. I have discovered I am not a very good patient and don't "rest" well. π€ͺI want so bad to be back to my usual self, active and out and about. But God has something to teach me in this season of rest and I am trying to adjust my attitude and learn what that is. π All in all though, I am doing really well for being 5 weeks post op a major brain surgery.
Before I knew when surgery was going to be, a couple of my girls came into heat and I did my part to breed them. Then I got my surgery date and realized I would only have a few weeks to recover before these litters would be due. Thankfully I have an amazing husband and support system and I knew it would work out one way or another. However, both girls ended up not pregnant. π’I absolutely hate that for those of you who are so eagerly waiting. However, I do believe wholeheartedly that God knows exactly what we need and what we can handle, and I don't think puppies were it for me right now. And as much as I know I had help, it would have driven me crazy to not be in the middle of taking care of them and making sure they were ok. So I am sure it is for the best. As usual, if any of you have been waiting for over a year and are tired of waiting, I totally understand and am more than willing to refund you your deposit if you contact me and say so. I am so sorry for the disappointment, however I am so thankful for both my health and the health of my girls. We will try again when they cycle next. Should be in May sometime which would give us litters born in July. π€
Thank you to each of you who has reached out, prayed for me, sent encouraging messages, and just followed along. I appreciate each and everyone of you! β€οΈ
