We know life gets busy and things come up we totally understand! But we kindly ask that if you need to cancel or reschedule your pet’s appointment, please give us at least 24 hours notice.

No-shows and same-day cancellations have a real impact on our small business. When a spot is reserved and left unfilled, it’s time we could have offered to another pup in need of care and it directly affects our team’s day and income.

We pour our hearts into every groom and work hard to create a loving, safe space for your pets. Your support and understanding help us continue doing what we love most.

Hi everyone!
Just wanted to give you all an update on our schedule for the month of July. We are nearly fully booked, with only a few openings left toward the end of the month. Saturdays are completely booked, and we’ve already begun pre-scheduling Saturdays into August.

We kindly remind everyone that you’re always welcome to pre-book your next appointment at drop-off or pick-up to secure your preferred date—especially for Saturdays, which tend to fill up 4 to 8 weeks in advance.

If you’re planning ahead for the holidays, we’re happy to get those appointments scheduled now to make sure your pup is fresh and ready for the busy season!

Please note that we are currently short-staffed, and I truly appreciate your patience with response times. I’m the one handling all phone calls, check-ins, and appointment bookings, and I do my very best to respond to everyone as quickly as I can.

Meet Handsome Bjorn!
Bjorn is a sweet, 4-year-old neutered boy looking for his forever home. He adores people and gets along well with larger dogs. However, he can be a bit too playful for smaller pups, as he doesn’t always understand how to play gently.

Yesterday was so much fun! We were so happy and grateful to all of our clients who stopped by our booth to say hello and participate. We were definitely nervous, as this was our first time joining the Strawberry Festival, but overall it was a great success.

We loved everyone’s creative costumes—it was such a hard choice to pick the winners! We hope to get more opportunities to join festivals in Downtown Vista and to bring more pet-friendly activities to the city. We’d love to host even more fun costume contests in the future.

Hi Viva La Pooch Family,

We wanted to give you a quick update — our schedule is currently fully booked for May, and June is filling up fast! Saturdays tend to be our most popular days and often book out 4–8 weeks in advance, so if Saturdays work best for you, we highly recommend pre-booking your next appointment at pick-up.

With the warmer weather, our schedule gets busy quickly, and we want to make sure your pups are well taken care of. Please call or text us at 760-590-9319 to book your next appointment. We typically respond faster to text messages due to the noise in the salon during the day.

We’re also now accepting pre-bookings for the rest of the year, so feel free to plan ahead to secure your preferred dates!

Lastly, a quick reminder: we do not schedule appointments via Facebook or Instagram. We kindly ask that all appointment requests come through text or phone call only. As the sole receptionist, managing all communication through one channel helps ensure no one gets missed. We truly appreciate your understanding!

We’re thrilled to announce our first-ever Dog Costume Contest at this year’s Strawberry Festival!
Join us on Sunday, May 25—you’ll find our booth right outside our shop.

Will be selecting 3 winners, so bring your pup dressed to impress!
Same-day registration closes at 11:30 AM, and the contest kicks off at 12:00 PM sharp. Contest will be located just outside our Shop!

We can’t wait to see all the creative strawberry theme costumes!
