”Went for a quick bite to eat today, and while standing in line, I was asked by a large group of bikers to cut in front of them. I declined, but they insisted. As I made my way past them they all thanked me and shook my hand, each one introducing themselves. When I got to the front, they asked if they could pray for me. Said a quick prayer for me and I for them. They then tried to buy my lunch which I politely refused. Get to the counter to pay and the owner told me it was on the house. So I dumped all the cash I had in the tip jar. Was a nice change of pace to feel appreciated and respected instead of feared or hated. Thanks for making my day!!!

Zeke and Cadence performing 'Place'. Much more impressive when you realize that a female in heat was working on loose leash walking and down stay right in front of them. That is what I call impulse control!!

Micah, Chipper and Saxon. These three just completed a loose leash training session including pass by, approach and sit, etc. After training they got a good play/interaction period. It is important to the emotional / physical development of the dogs to have these play periods, no matter what life path the dog will be on, including service dog.

This is the message that greeted Autism Service Dog Peter when he arrived home last weekend. We drove him up and delivered him personally along with his information packet, a great big knuckle bone and a full training session. Peter is very bonded to his boy and we look forward to them having a long and wonderful relationship!

Saxon's little boy is autistic and is a 'runner'. He is hard for his mom to control. Saxon will be the liaison between parents and child. He will keep the child from running and when the two are together, will recall to the parents while bringing the child with him. Saxon is perfect for this. He is solid in both build and temperament.

This is Peter, an in training service dog for an autistic child. This is his first interaction with his harness. He was a little concerned with it in the beginning, but he was allowed to decide to investigate. Once he found it rewarding to interact with the harness, he started picking up 'Dress' very quickly.

We had a booth at a hearing impaired children' school festival. The people at the school were delightful and Wesley got a LOT of attention. Dogs have a way of getting through to children where people can't. We're looking for more events to attend so if you know any local to the San Diego area, please let us know.
