Wazzy and I have been building a trusting relationship by bonding on our walks before we stay together overnight! 😊💚🐶 Wazzy loves walking and also loves all the treats he gets while walking! 😊💚🐶

Wazzy has a lot of anxiety and is very protective of his mom! 😊💚🐶 When I went for our meet-and-greet, Wazzy made it clear he didn’t want me in certain areas of the home, and I respected him! 🐶🐶 I was on his terms, and when he was ready, I would know! 🐶🐶 After a couple of months of us walking, I can enter the home with mom and dad there, and Wazzy doesn’t bark! 💚🐶 He comes to me wagging his tail and gives me kisses on my hand! 💚🐶

Wazzy’s trust means so much to me and has made my heart so happy! 💚🐶💚🐶 I can't wait for our overnight stays together! 😊💚🐶

People hear “fostering” and think it’s a huge commitment, but honestly? It’s one of the easiest ways to save a life.

Most rescues provide the medical care, supplies, food, and support. You provide a safe place for the dog to decompress, learn what home life is like, and wait for their forever family. Fostering can be short-term or long-term depending on what works for you.

And the best part? If you fall in love, you usually get first dibs to adopt.
