It’s that time of month!! Production Day is a day where I prepare Coco’s fresh food for the month! Since the days have been getting extremely warm in Costa Del Sol, I had to split the Production Day into two days…one day of prep, one day of cooking done early in the morning!

Now Coco will be fed with for a whole month. I keep 4 days worth refrigerated and package the rest for freezing in 4 days portions. If you are interested in this recipe I’m using for Coco, I have it available in my e-cookbook. Click the link in bio for access.

It was spa day aka grooming day for Coco! Usually she gets a “bikini cut” for the summer but I’m keeping her hair longer to than usual. It is necessary for the heat and summer Spain sun to protect her skin. Thanks for doing an amazing job with short notice!

What’s the point of being a local if you don’t do local things?! First bike ride in Spain was a success! It’s been years since I have done this with Coco.

Our first bike ride was in Delray Beach Fl when she was about 2 or 3 years old. That was the furthest I had traveled with her thus far!

Now she is many miles from her birth country but still experiencing firsts with me! Love your dog through experiences!!

My Facebook memory today was of an old receipt from about nine years ago showing what it used to cost me to take care of Coco’s flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Back then, her 3-month flea and tick prevention was around $72, and her 6-month heartworm prevention was around $38. On the same receipt was also a tear stain brightener because during that time, I was trying EVERYTHING to help with Coco’s tear stains.

Wipes, brighteners, powders… you name it.

Looking back now, it’s crazy how much has changed through the years.

Today, I don’t use any products to manage Coco’s tear stains. Her fresh food diet addressed the issue naturally by helping me identify what was causing the excessive tearing in the first place. And now living in Spain, her flea, tick, and heartworm prevention is combined into one monthly pill that only costs me around $15.

So what used to cost me close to $30+ a month now costs me about half of that.

But beyond the financial difference, what really stood out to me was seeing how much more intentional I’ve become about Coco’s care over the years. So many of the things I used to treat from the outside eventually led me to focus more on what was happening internally, especially through nutrition.

Seeing that old receipt felt like a full-circle moment and a reminder of just how far Coco and I have come together 🐶✨

Coco is a big back so most of her favorite places are food/treat eccentric spots. The best part is the customer service at each place. They always greet Coco with a rub and treat! Thanks and for being Coco’s favorite place to visit!

If you ever wondered what a day in the life of a digital nomad dog looks like well this is it! Some times it’s travel days, adventures in the city, or lounging on the beach.

It’s National Pet Month, and this morning I watched a segment on CBS Mornings about Oprah Winfrey and the founder of The Farmer’s Dog discussing the love people have for their dogs and how intentional care can impact their quality of life. And I’m not even going to lie… it really resonated with me.

One thing Oprah mentioned that really stood out to me was that her current dog is 17 years old, making it the longest living dog she has had after owning dozens of dogs throughout her life. She shared that this dog has been fed fresh food, and hearing that really hit home for me because that’s one of the main reasons I started making fresh food for Coco over 8 years ago.

At the time, I wasn’t trying to build a business. I was simply trying to love on my dog the best way I knew how.

Over time, that love expanded into travel experiences, adventures, and now helping other dog parents learn how to love on their dogs through fresh food and travel too.

I really appreciated that the segment highlighted how fresh food, when balanced with the right nutrients, can positively impact a dog’s health and longevity. It’s beautiful seeing more conversations centered around intentionally caring for our pets instead of simply owning them.

That’s what Coco Cares has always been about for me 🐾✨

It’s National Pet Month, and this morning I watched a segment on CBS Mornings about Jonathan Regev and Oprah Winfrey teaming up for a mini-series centered around dogs, their owners, and the love people have for their pets. And I’m not even going to lie… it really resonated with me.

Because at the core of Coco Cares, that’s exactly what this mission has always been about.

Loving your dog intentionally.

Not just providing food, shelter, or the occasional walk, but truly pouring into their quality of life. Paying attention to what goes into their body. Creating experiences with them. Wanting them to live longer, healthier, fuller lives beside us.

One thing Oprah mentioned during the segment that really stood out to me was that her current dog is 17 years old, making it the longest living dog she has had after owning dozens of dogs throughout her life. And seeing conversations like this become more mainstream makes me happy because it shows how many pet owners truly want to give their dogs the best life possible.

That’s what Coco Cares is about for me.

Helping dog parents love their dogs through fresh food and travel experiences 🐾✨

Our brand shoot pictures are finally here, and we are so excited to share them with you! 🐾✨

This was Coco’s first curated brand shoot since starting Coco Cares, and seeing it all come together feels so special because she is literally the reason this company, this brand, and this mission even exists.

Fresh food may have started because of her love for eating 😂 but over time, this journey has grown into so much more. Now I’ve incorporated travel into her life as well, and being able to share our experiences, lessons, and adventures with other pet owners has become one of my favorite parts of this journey.

Coco truly is the heart behind Coco Cares 🐶

Over the weekend, Coco and I experienced watching our very first triathlon, and honestly, moments like this remind me why I’m so thankful I decided to bring her along on this digital nomad journey 🐾✨

What made this even more special is that the triathlon was held in Fuengirola, a coastal city in the Málaga region of Spain, and this was the city’s first time hosting the event. It was such a monumental moment for the community, and we were excited to experience and be part of that energy together.

Experiences like this would not have been possible without the resources, information, and support that helped me transition her to Spain in the first place. From understanding vet requirements and travel regulations to figuring out timelines and paperwork, there were so many moving pieces in the beginning that felt overwhelming.

Being to ask questions when I got stuck, learn from other people’s experiences, and get tips and tricks helped me realize that traveling and relocating with your dog is possible with the right preparation.

So every so often, I like to return the favor by sharing my experiences, travel updates, and resources that helped me along the way.

That’s exactly why I created my Helpful Pet Travel Resource List. It’s a collection of travel links and resources that helped me navigate this journey with Coco, from airline pet policies and USDA information to carrier recommendations and international travel resources.

And for those who requested it before but had trouble finding it, I’ve now created a direct link (link in bio) that takes you straight to the free downloadable resource list without having to join the Coco Cares Community.

I’ll always be an ally for dog parents who are trying to figure out how to travel, vacation, or relocate with their dogs because I know firsthand how stressful and emotional the process can feel in the beginning.

But I also know how beautiful the experience can become once you finally take the leap ✈️🐶
