This is not a good place-
no place to be.
Whether it’s the park
or out on the sea,
I need a dog
to accompany me.

I must decline,
your offer is kind,
I hope you don’t mind;
you see-
I need a dog
to feel like me.

So if my dog can’t go,
the answer is no.
Because I need my dog,
and my dog needs me.
