I don’t know how this stuff happens, but it does, often! Lets back up. I am getting ready to go to the Meeker Sheep Dog Trial and I am packing up the Farm Diggity store. Secretly, I made a goal to make 10 crooks to take with us. I won’t lie, bringing Farm Diggity is a bit of work. It takes me, Norman, and Jr to pull it off, with out dying. Saying out loud, hey I have this great goal, could get me killed.😡 But i have learned if you kinda hide your crazy, by the time the paint fumes hit them, they are too dazed and confused to put up much of a fight!😂 Fast forward, crooks are dry, I love them. Me and Jr, my reluctant partner in crime, stop packing the trailer, to cut them to size and glue them together. Thats when I realize, I don’t have the right tips to fit the sticks I chose. 😳🫣Ok, not panicking, completely, but we are leaving, its a holiday weekend and I REALLY need them finished. So I call my Dad and ask him if he might have this special size cartridge, by the way, my crooks have a bullet casing for the tip. He calls me back. No, he doesn’t have what I need. “No worries dad, I can try to find them on the road” …I hope😬 and I carry on packing. An hour or two, goes by and the phone rings its Dad “I got them.” Wow, you found them, mistakenly thinking he found them in some random old box that holds his treasures. Great, I say and then he shows up at my house with just what I need. Now that’s not that big of a deal, because he will often have what I need, but here is where it gets weird. Mom hears someone shooting down the road, tells dad. He gets in his little side by side with his metal detector, incase they are alread gone when he gets there. Finds the guys shooting, scolds them a bit for shooting when its so dry🔥 makes friends with them, tells them he need their casings, which they happily gave him. Then he drives to my place with exactly what I need.😳🤔😁
I don’t live by a gun club, or a gravel pit where people shoot. It is too dry to be shooting in the woods, and what’s the chance that they would be shooting that caliber of gun? There is more why’s, like why is he 🤠sure he will just waltz down there, basically tell them to knock it off, and quit trying to burn the place down. And they are like yes sir, let us give you what your daughter needs to complete her goal! Why does stuff like this happen to me. I don’t fully understand, but what I do know is I am very thankful😊🙏 I will put the crooks on the website www.farmdiggity.com tomorrow Monday 6pm pacific time. And you can pick them up at Meeker.
