OUCH! PROTECTING YOUR PETS

• It looks like I'm shouting to the world in this screen grab! And I am. Be responsible with your pets!

• If you missed my segment on the news last Friday, I showed you pavement temperatures.

• I measured surface temperatures on the concrete sidewalk and asphalt driveway at my house last summer. Using an infrared thermometer, I measured temperatures of 150° and hotter!

• Not included in this graphic: I remember hitting 159° on the black/top asphalt on a 97 degree day also.

• Don't have a thermometer? Easy rule: If the pavement is too hot for your bare feet, then it's too hot for paws!

Friends of Bedford County Animal Shelter, Inc. needs your help. They are at maximum capacity. The collection box will be here until Wednesday the 18th at 4. The list is for items of greatest need.

Pet Paradise family, the Bedford County Animal Shelter is overflowing right now. We need your help! We have provided a list below of items with the most need.
The drop box in our lobby is available for donations M-F, 8 to 4 until Dec. 19th.

We have a collection box in our lobby to accept donations. Items with the greatest need are listed on the flyer. Please help these 2 great organizations succeed this holiday season. Our lobby is open from 8 to 4, M -F. 🐾 You can also help by sharing our post 🎄 🎅
