South Jersey Kennel Club is an Organization of like minded people who share an interest in the Pure Bred Dog. We are a collection of responsible breeders, trainers, and dog fanciers. We show our dogs in conformation, performance events like agility and obedience, and field events. We welcome those that are interested in performance events for their All American Dog!

In Memory of Dawn Vick Hansen

It is with sadness that we report the passing of Dawn Vick Hansen.

Dawn Vick Hansen was a lifelong dog enthusiast, breeder, Toy group expert, and AKC judge for more than 50 years. As a judge for the American Kennel Club, Dawn traveled extensively—judging in nearly every U.S. state, as well as in Canada, Ireland, England, South Africa, and China. One of the highlights of her career was judging the Toy Group at the 2004 Westminster Kennel Club.

A dedicated breeder of Brussels Griffons, Dawn served as President of the American Brussels Griffon Association from 1992 to 1996.

Dawn will be remembered for her kindness and devotion to the sport of purebred dogs. The Canine Chronicle extends our condolences to her family and friends.

Our Story

South Jersey Kennel Club is an Organization of like-minded people who share an interest in the Pure Bred Dog. We are a collection of responsible breeders, trainers, and dog fanciers. We show our dogs in conformation, performance events (agility, obedience, rally, lure coursing, earth dog, scent work, field events) and more.

Throughout the year, members work together getting involved in community activities, holding training classes, and hosting evening programs with Special Speakers and or Workshops on Dog Related Topics. In December, each year, we host two AKC Conformation Shows along with an Obedience and Rally Trials as part of a large Cluster call the “Winter Blast Cluster” at the Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA.

We welcome those that want to learn how to be a responsible breeder and those that want to learn to do fun activities with their dogs whether you have a Purebred or All American Dog!
