🐾Bring pets indoors.
🐾Make sure they have fresh water and a safe place to hide.
🐾Keep collars and ID tags on in case they get scared and run.
🐾Avoid leaving pets tied outside during storms.
🐾If your pet has storm anxiety, keep calming items nearby and contact your vet about options available to calm your pet.

A strong Veterinarian-Client-Patient
Relationship (VCPR)helps keep your animals healthy and ensures proper medical care for both large and small animals.
✔️Know who your primary veterinarian is-especially if multiple vets are involved. One veterinarian must be responsible for protocols, prescriptions, and oversight.
✔️Veterinarian of Record
This veterinarian oversees treatment plans, medication use, herd or pet health decisions, and overall patient care.
✔️Consistent Oversight
Regular farm visits for livestock and routine exams for pets help ensure proper care, compliance, and safe prescribing practices.
✔️Small Animal Care Matters Too
Just like our large animal patients, dogs and cats must be seen regularly to maintain a valid
VCPR. This allows us to legally prescribe medications and provide the best care possible tor your pet.
