We’ve had an uptick in fleas with the warmer seasons now here. With that being said, we unfortunately can no longer accept pets that come in with major flea infestations.
We’ve followed every protocol we can to continue preventing this causing an issue in the salon and it’s just no longer a risk we are willing to take for the safety of our other clients.
Flea shampoo is not a method that treats fleas 100%. It might help us remove a few and stun any live ones on your pup, but it still allows them to be spread during the bath, blow dry, and grooming process. Flea shampoo does not kill fleas. Only flea preventatives from a vet are a successful prevention.
Going forward, if your dog has fleas we please ask that you see your vet for flea meds before their appointment. We will be forced to turn away anyone that comes in with them to prevent the spread of any parasites and carried diseases.
