I have eight bare root hypericum plants available for sale. These are perennials and are second year plants that will produce multiple harvests of green berries from mid to late summer. Each plant will grow 7-10 stems for each harvest.

Also know as St. John’s Wort, they are beautiful in landscaping or in cut flower bouquets.

$40 total for all eight bare root plants. Pick up on Indian Lake. 🌱

How can four remarkable years be condensed into a single post? I am truly grateful for the support of countless neighbors and friends who have believed in my small flower business. What started as a modest driveway farm cart during the pandemic has blossomed into a season at the Farmer's Market and a loyal subscription customer base. From selling hostas and succulents to Christmas wreaths and dahlia tubers, this community has been a constant source of encouragement. Thank you for supporting my little farm cart over the past four summers. Your love and kindness have made a lasting impact on me as I grew alongside these plants.

Although 2025 brings changes and i will not be offering summer flowers, I am excited to continue offering annual wreaths and dahlia tubers for sale, and whatever else might pop up! This summer I am focusing on growing my lawncare business and growing flowers with my mother in her hobby garden.

For local flowers, I highly recommend Flowerfield Farmstead and Stone Rich Farm!

UPDATED 1/31 to reflect which varieties are still available!

It's time to THINK SPRING! If you've been following along with my Farm Cart page or at the Vicksburg Farmer's Market these past few years, then you know how much my mom and I have fallen in love with dahlias! 🌸🌺

Grown from tubers (think potatoes), these flowers steal the show from late July until first frost (usually October). And the best part is that each tuber grows 5-10 tubers that you can save for next year! They are "cut & come again" which means the more flowers you cut, they more they grow!

Now that I am in college, I am scaling back my flower-growing plans for 2025. I am selling off MOST OF MY TUBER STOCK, including special varieties that I've kept for my own farm the past two years.

My 2025 Dahlia Tuber Sale is NOW OPEN! All tubers are $8 each. Check the pictures below for available varieties. Orders must be prepaid and will be available for local pick up in Vicksburg, MI in late April or early May. You may request an earlier pickup if you desire. Normal outdoor planting time for dahlia tubers is mid-May once the last chance of frost has passed.

Nat’s mom here. Final subscription bouquet of the season is going out today!! We made it!! 🥳

Despite a total tulip crop failure in the spring, a wet and flooded start to the summer followed by weeks without much rain…all weekly and biweekly subscribers were able to receive everything before we get hit by frost and say goodbye to this year of flower farming. 😅

We got to visit Natalie this weekend for Calvin University’s Homecoming weekend. We made cider at the nature preserve, attended the football game, moved Natalie’s dorm furniture (again) and played some pickle ball. ❤️

Next up comes digging up dahlia tubers and packaging them up for winter. Natalie will still be home once a week to mow lawns and do leaf cleanup for all of her yard customers this fall…but I had a suspicion that it won’t leave much time for digging tubers. 😬 Comment below if you’re interested in spending an hour or two on a Saturday this fall to dig and process tubers with me. I’ll show you how we preserve them over the winter and give you a few to keep!

Dahlia tubers sale will be in the spring…we’ll need your help to clear out a lot of our inventory, as Nat’s Farm Cart is minimizing for next year!

UPDATE: SOLD!!

Nat’s mom here. 😊 Natalie and I are simplifying the garden plan for next year, so I’ve been busy moving things around and making space. We have extra peony roots available that are ready to be planted NOW for spring blooms.

Each bundle contains 10+ peony roots of mixed colors (see the color mix below). The roots are 1-5 eye. They are $30/bundle. I have 2 bundles available.

If you’ve been wanting to try your hand at growing a gorgeous spring flower, this perennial is a great one to start with. You plant the root in the ground now in a place that will get full sun in the spring. Peonies are very winter hardy and are even grown in Alaska! They love the cold winters. The root will grow and multiply each year how many shoots and flowers it produces. A peony plant can last 50 years!

Nat’s mom here! Harvested one more bouquet today after Natalie combed through the fields this weekend. We got to spend a little bit of time with her while she was home from college to mow her neighborhood lawns. Squeezed in some apple picking. 🍎 🌸
