Every Cat's Dream Our mission is to take the sick, injured and abandoned off the streets. Rescue, Rehabilitate and Rehome into wonderful homes. We decided to switch gears!

While we will still help with dog placements, our main goal is to help the never ending stray cat population. Our goal is to r

educe the number of stray cats in our area by providing spay and neuter clinics. Some stray cats will need to be released back to their colonies, but if we get our hands on any that are adoptable, we will bring them into our adoption program. So many of stray cats are adoptable! We plan to work hard in placing any cats or kittens into foster homes until they are ready for adoption. 85% of the cats we have in our care are stray cats brought into us from Broome County. The Many Mews and Meows of Rescue 2026 calendar contest is in full gear! Have you submitted your rescue feline’s photo yet? There’s still time!

Did you know? Even if your rescue doesn’t end up in one of the top 12 places, their picture will still be included in the calendar on our honorable mention page.

There’s been a little shake-up in the top four places. 1st place has been taken over by Penny moving Andy to 2nd place. Ilmari is still in 3rd place but Chai has moved into 4th place.

It’s only $5 per entry and $1 per vote. Submit your photo and vote often to help us reach our goal of $5,000! Submission deadline is Friday, October 3.

Our Story

We are a New York State Rescue! Our Rescue Registration No. is RR169. We are a full service rescue! We rescue dogs, puppies, cats, kittens, bunnies, guinea pigs, rats, hamsters, reptiles, etc. no snakes or spiders though, sorry... We help every animal find their new home! Our adoption center is located inside of the Petco Store in Johnson City. All animals will be viewed there. Our sanctuary is located in Greene, we do not view animals at that location. We house the old, and animals being treated for sickness at the Greene location.
