Hello everyone! I am officially down to my last 2 mounts from the 2023 season. I appreciate everyone’s patience as I navigated a new tannery and my busiest year for taxidermy yet!

On another note, I wanted to address a message I received earlier this afternoon regarding the “quality” of my work. A customer who picked up their finished mount over a month ago reached out to me today concerned about a “dent” in their deer’s forehead.

I would like to preface that I order my supplies from the highest rated taxidermy suppliers and take great pride in the quality of my work. This “dent” is the natural forming of a whitetail skull and is not a matter of poor taxidermy quality.

Although I would love for it to be, this is not my full time job, and while I always appreciate and welcome feedback from my customers, this was definitely a first for me.

Thank you all again for your support! 2024 mounts will definitely not take as long as 2023 mounts, and I’m planning to compete in MTA’s taxidermy show again this year in April!

After a quick move I am up and running in my new shop! I also heard back from the tannery that I should have some hides back by next week, so some of you should be hearing from me soon. I can’t thank you all enough for patience! 🦌

Been hard at work these last couple weeks revamping the shop and getting the first three mounts from last season completed! Mount #4 is currently drying and the next four are in the works!

To all of you patient customers!! Just got off the phone with the tannery they confirmed that one of my two orders will be finished up this coming week. With that being said, if your hide is in this batch you will be hearing from me in the next couple weeks to confirm the pose you would like for your mount. If your deer was given to me before the start of rifle season we are still on track to have it completed before October 1st, my second order is still being processed at the tannery. Thank you all for your loyalty and patience as we battle these lead times.

My second state competition is in the books. My personal buck from last fall scored an 89 in the professional division earning a second place ribbon, just one point short from a first. It also brought home the “public’s choice whitetail” which was the public voting on which piece they thought the best whitetail in the show was. I also brought a customers deer that I mounted last fall it earned a first place in the commercial division. I learned a lot and I can’t wait for next year’s competition!
