HOPE has open spots for a Trap Neuter Release (TNR) clinic on Friday April 3, 2026! TNR is for feral/community cats. HOPE’s TNR package includes spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine, FVRCP vaccine, flea/worm meds and an ear tip. If you know of feral cats near you that need to be altered, please call (859) 873-4673 and leave a message to reserve a spot (or spots) for Friday’s clinic. The cats will thank you for it AFTER they recover!

During November, HOPE Spay Neuter Clinic will receive donations as part of Good Foods Coop’s “Give Where You Live” program. You do not need to be a Coop member to shop at the Coop grocery or to participate in this fundraiser. The grocery is located at 455 Southland Drive in Lexington. When you check out, just round up your purchase for HOPE or donate any amount you like. Every cent goes directly to the animals!

AWARD 333 GRANTS TOTALING $2.5 MILLION
HOPE Spay Neuter Clinic, AN HONORED 2025 RECIPIENT

Versailles, KY – HOPE Spay Neuter Clinic is proud to announce it received a grant from the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels (HOKC) in the amount of $7000.00 to pay the Veterinarian and Veterinary Technician for approximately 3 months of their services.

The HOPE Spay Neuter Clinic serves many counties across Kentucky by offering low cost spay/neuter services and vaccinations for dogs and cats. This year over 708 dogs/cats have been altered at HOPE Spay Neuter Clinic with al total of over 27,682 since it opened in 2010.

HOKC awarded $2.5 million in grants supporting 333 non-profits, impacting more than 4 million Kentuckians. Grants are made possible through donations from Kentucky Colonels from throughout the Commonwealth and around the world who choose to exercise the honor of being named a Kentucky Colonel in a meaningful way.

According to Commanding General Gary Boschert: “2024 / 2025 was a challenging year for fulfilling Grant Requests, with $5 million in total requests. We were able to distribute $2.5 million through the Good Works Program that each of you generously supports. Every dollar you contribute to the Good Works Program goes out to nonprofits in the Commonwealth. Together we helped support more than 4 million people this year.

HOPE Spay Neuter Clinic provides high-quality, low-cost spay and neuter services for companion animals as well as feral cats in Kentucky. Our goal is to reduce overpopulation and unnecessary euthanasia. Community education and involvement are essential components of our efforts and are key to our success.

The Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels is a 501(c) (3) entity dedicated to supporting charitable activities throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The organization is governed by an all-volunteer Board of Trustees. The “Kentucky Colonel” commission is an honorary title granted by the Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. There is no shortage of love and care at HOPE! If you want to learn about us, just ask a cat named Atticus or a dog named Blu (pictured here), or talked to one of our volunteers. This week’s clinic brought the total of animals served to 27,502!
