From fluffy puppy to future working dog… and he’s already taking his job seriously.

This standard poodle pup is learning what it means to show up, stay focused, and work through distractions—and he’s doing it like a champ. Every session, he’s proving that good dogs aren’t just born… they’re built through consistency, structure, and a whole lot of reps.

Service work isn’t about tricks—it’s about reliability, confidence, and trust. And this good boy is laying that foundation one command at a time.

Safe to say… the future is looking very sharp (and very curly).

Huge thank you to the wonderful team at Animal Medical Center for welcoming us in for a lunch and learn!

It was a pleasure spending time with such a dedicated group of veterinary professionals and having the chance to talk about training and behavior. I’m grateful I got to share the experience with my coach and master trainer Daniel Bainbridge.

And a special shoutout to this clinic because they also take great care of my demo dog, Ginny. It means a lot knowing she’s in such good hands! 🐾

Public access training can be tough for puppies—new smells, new sounds, new humans who desperately want to say hi—but Stormy is absolutely rocking it. Calm, confident, focused, and making great choices in real-world settings like it’s his side hustle.

This is what happens when foundations are solid and consistency does the heavy lifting. Proud trainer moment over here… and Stormy didn’t even break a sweat. 💪🐩

Stormy update 🌪️🐩

At just 4 months old, this standard poodle puppy is already out here making excellent life choices. Distractions? Oh, he’s noticed them—people, noises, movement, the general audacity of the world—but he’s learning that checking in with his human is way more rewarding than losing his marbles.

We’ve been working through age-appropriate distractions, building focus, confidence, and those all-important puppy manners. Stormy is proving that calm brains can exist in fluffy bodies (shocking, I know).

This is what good training looks like: not perfection, but steady progress, curiosity without chaos, and a puppy who’s learning how to think before he pounces. I’m ridiculously proud of this kid—and he’s just getting started.

Keep shining, Stormy. The world is loud, but you’re learning to handle it like a pro. 💙
