Lois Lawrence, a founding member of Angel's Wish, once rescued a kitten from a construction site. Weak with starvation, dehydration, and a severe upper respiratory infection, neither veterinary treatment nor Lois’ love and care could save the kitten from the effects of that hot June day. We believe that Angel's Wish would have been that no other animal be subjected to pain, suffering, abandonment or neglect.

🐾✨ Two for Tuesday! ✨🐾

At Angel’s Wish, we believe two cats are often better than one — and not just because it’s double the cuteness! Having a feline friend helps with companionship, playtime, and even adjusting more smoothly to a new home. Cats learn from each other, burn off energy together, and are far less likely to get bored (or into mischief 😉).

Adopting two kittens means built-in playmates. Adopting a bonded pair of adults means you’re giving two best friends the chance to stay together. And for you? Twice the love, twice the purrs, and a lifetime of joy. 💕

Forget-Me-Not Friday + Adopt a Less Adoptable Pet Week 🌸

Meet Daisy — a kitten whose spirit shines brighter than any challenge she faces. 💛

Daisy has cerebellar ataxia, which makes her a little wobbly, but it doesn’t hold her back. She climbs, pounces, and plays just like any other kitten — as you can see in this video! She’s also a total lovebug who melts into purrs the moment she’s in your lap.

Because of her condition, Daisy will need a special home that can keep her safe with things like carpeted floors and limited stairs. In return, she’ll bring sunshine, silliness, and snuggles to your life every single day. 🌞

This Forget-Me-Not is still waiting for her family. Could Daisy be the brightest flower in your garden? 🌼

The Ironman athletes will need plenty of juice to power through this weekend’s race… and we’ve got some Juice of our own! Meet Juice, a handsome orange-and-white cat who’s looking for a forever home. 🧡

Today, remember road closures in Verona for the bike course 🚲 will make travel tricky, but our Verona Adoption Center will still be open for adoptions 12pm to 3pm! See our pinned post from yesterday and check out our map and Verona PD’s guidance before heading our way — then come meet cats and kittens like Juice who are ready to bring energy (and cuddles) into your life.

We also have cats at Petsmart East in Madison today, too, from 12pm to 3pm! Lots of great cats waiting to meet you on both sides of town.

🏊‍♀️🚴‍♂️🏃‍♂️ Ironman Wisconsin is rolling through Verona this Sunday, September 7! Plan your route to visit us Sunday from 12pm to 3pm.

We’re cheering on the athletes AND reminding our adopters and visitors that road closures and delays will be happening throughout the day (about 8am–5:30pm). 🚧 Some roads will be fully closed, while others will be open but slowed down by bike traffic.

Thanks to our friends at the Verona Police Department🚔 we’ve got special instructions and maps to help you plan the smoothest route to Angel’s Wish. Please take a peek before heading our way so you can get to your cat snuggles without the detour stress. 🐾

Patience, alternate routes, and cheering for both athletes and adoptable cats = the perfect Sunday combo! 🧡🐱

Boots is a sweet, silly, and spirited tuxedo kitten who knows how to make an entrance—and a great impression. Always in on the action, she’s the kind of curious companion who’ll be the first to dive into playtime and the last to leave the fun.

She enjoys wild wrestling matches with her feline foster siblings and joins in with their high-speed hijinks like a pro. Her affectionate side shines just as brightly—Boots can be snuggly when the mood strikes and will happily curl up with you (or a furry friend) after a good play session.

Just a few days ago, we shared that our shelves were bare of canned food for both kittens and adult cats. Thanks to your generosity, deliveries have been arriving and our pantry is filling back up! 🐾💖

Our kittens (and cats!) say a big thank mew! for helping keep their bowls full. Your kindness ensures they get the nutrition they need while they wait for loving homes. We couldn’t do this without our amazing community. Thank you so much!

We’re so grateful to our friends at Humane Society of Marathon County and their amazing volunteers for making sure 10 cats made their way safely to Angel’s Wish this afternoon, even with a flat tire adventure along the way! 🚗🐾 A huge thank you to Shirlee and Paul for going above and beyond to bring them to us, and to Matt at Area Wide Services for stepping in to help.

We can’t wait to introduce these wonderful cats to everyone this weekend—thank you for helping them on their journey to finding loving homes! 💕🐱
