Hi! Website update! Due to technical difficulties I was unable to receive some forwarded messages from the form on my website from May-July. This issue has now been resolved. Let’s talk “Spear Grass”.

That’s what my friends and I used to call these grass seeds when we would throw them at each other at the bus stop every back-to-school season. We knew it could hurt a bit back then, but it was all in good fun. It wasn’t until I became a dog groom that I really learned to take this grass seed seriously. You see, when the spear like head is trapped in the fur of a dog and not removed by brushing or hand, it will continue to work its way into the fur and not stop there if it’s still not removed. If you have this in your yard, or along you walking route, be sure to always check your dog’s paws and fur for these painful hitchhikers.

And if you find you dog has ran through a field of them in their recent adventures and you need a little help- well don’t forget your friendly neighborhood dog groomer is happy to come to the rescue!
