It's easy to increase vertical territory. You can stick to basics or get as elaborate as you'd like. What matters most is that the vertical space you create is comfortable and safe. In a multicat household, vertical territory can play a big role in helping to keep the peace. One of the easiest ways to create vertical territory is with a cat tree. There are so many styles to choose from but just make sure the one you pick is very sturdy just in case your cat decides to take a flying leap from the floor to the top perch. A well-made cat tree will last your cat's lifetime.
