😂😂😂😂😂😂 guys.......if there are people throwing shade on breeders who are licensed and don't do the bare minimum required for interstate travel regardless of licensure OR make up rules like "i only allow pick up directly from my house" yah.....thats because they should be usda licensed for the number of cats they have but don't want to be licensed ( this is a work around) OR charge you extra for a health certificate when you are already paying thousands.....just set ajd stew on that a minute.
1. I am not throwing stones at glass houses. Most catteries arent licensed. Which honestly a lot of times I wish I wasn't but Missouri is VERY strict with the number of breeding stock where in other states they dont even have a minimum number you can have and they leave it all up to the USDA.
2. I'll stay in my lane as long as they stay in theirs. I'm happy to help anyone or I'm perfectly happy if someone has ALL of their ducks in a row and wants to point out issues with licensed breeders.....however, I have yet to meet one.
3. Pick the values that bring up your baby the way YOU want them raised and how your breeder handles the hard stuff (unfortunately we often don't know that until we are in the thick of it) don't pick your baby just based on how it looks. Pick your baby and all of the important stuff behind it that is going to hold up under the pressures of age and co-morbitity, and life, and what you align with on a moral compass. I 100% support you NOT choosing me if we aren't a good fit, if you want a baby raised in the home, if the risk vs. benefit doesn't weigh in our favor because at the end of the day I want what's best for YOU, for MY kittens and family, and it never works well if the expectations aren't met to the anticipated standards.
