Triple C EAP Equine Assisted Programs

Triple C EAP Equine Assisted Programs TRIPLE C EAP Equine Assisted Programs is a 501(c)3 nonprofit "Serving those who Serve others."

11/21/2025

Due to the recent outbreak of EHV-1 linked to the Waco region and now spreading across multiple states, state and national veterinary authorities have issued an alert recommending heightened biosecurity measures and temporary suspension of equine movement to prevent further spread.

While none of our horses have left our facility, we are acting out of an abundance of caution to protect their health and the wellbeing of all equines in our community.

Therefore, we will temporarily suspend all facility activities for a minimum of 14 days.

We will remain in communication with our veterinarian and state animal health officials and will reopen only once we receive guidance that it is safe to resume operations.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we prioritize safety.

Please keep all of the equine community across the country — in your prayers during this time.

Because of YOU:

✏️ Children in Uvalde have found healing through our "Horsing Around with Literacy" program where

Mentorship with Purpose: 8th graders who lived through tragedy now find healing by mentoring 2nd graders — giving them purpose, dignity, and hope.

2nd graders write to the horses, who “write back” with misspellings and funny grammar, reminding kids that mistakes are safe and learning can be fun.

Books that Heal: Every child receives a horse-themed book to take home — sparking imagination and encouraging reading long after the program.

Hands-On Learning: In the spring, children spend a full day with horses — measuring, weighing, exploring the digestive system, running obstacle courses, and discovering math and science in living motion.

Rhythm & Regulation: Children learn how trauma affects the body, then discover how horses’ steady gait, obstacle course, and drum making sessions promote rhythms bring calm, balance, and safety.

Trauma-Informed Connection: Children learn skills of self-regulation, body awareness, and connection that carry into school, friendships, and family life.

Gateway to Healing: Families from this community are gently reminded that individual equine therapy is available free of charge later if their child needs deeper support.

👩‍🌾 High schoolers in Utopia in our "Hearts and Hooves" Programs have built leadership and confidence in Hearts & Hooves where we are hoping to expand to other districts.

🇺🇸 Veterans and first responders in our "Healing Herds" program are laying down weapons and instead carrying halters, finding peace and connection through horses. In Healing Herds: Family Edition, spouses and children join them — learning together how trauma is carried in the body, and how healing can be shared. Families discover new ways to trust, communicate, and reconnect, often for the first time in years.

🌊 We are currently preparing a 3–5 year vision to walk with flood-impacted families in Kerrville, Ingram, and Hunt communities.

And still ahead of us: "The Arc of Dreams" — a covered round pen where healing can happen in every season.

✨ "The Arc of Dreams; If we build it, Healing will come"✨

From the bottom of our Hearts and Hooves, THANK YOU. 💙 Every horse, every acre, every bale of hay, every stall, every vaccine, every gift of books— it all goes to one thing: healing for those who serve and those who have survived.

Thank you all who donated during Giving Tuesday. We were given 2 horses and 80 Square bales of hay by an anonymous donor for our beloved Equine Partners. These resources will provide months of care toward providing Equine Assisted Learning for our Veterans and First Responders. Thank you for this blessing!❤️

Today, on Giving Tuesday, Triple C EAP invites you to join us in supporting those who have given so much—our Veterans, first responders, and survivors of mass violence. Through equine-assisted Programs, we can help them rebuild trust, find peace, and heal from the invisible wounds of trauma.

Your gift can provide these heroes and survivors with the opportunity to connect with horses, fostering resilience, emotional regulation, and hope for the future. Every donation brings us closer to offering life-changing experiences to those who need it most.

Give the gift of healing today. Together, we can make a difference.
