Twas a few hours before closing at the WellHaven in Downtown Vancouver.
The staff was stirring.
The treat jars in exam rooms were being filled with care
In hopes that tomorrow's visiting pets would love biscuits, catnip, and all types of yummy good fare.
The team was nestled up in their cozy sweatshirts, as the thermostat stubbornly kept the temperature at a chilly level. Brrrrr!
Visions of being with puppies & kittens on a warm tropical island danced in their heads. Purrrr!
When out in our lobby, there arose such a lovely site.
The team sprung from their spots to see who was visiting tonight.
Away to the lobby, they flew like a flash,
They met Sally, who made quite a splash!
Her arms were holding bags filled with gifts for Girl Scout Troop 10167's Pet Food & Toy Drive.
Sally's donations for dogs and cats at the West Columbia Gorge Humane Society truly help keep the spirit of giving alive.
Plush beds, hearty meals, tasty treats, and toys were donated by Sally, who, like us, feels all pets should be showered with love. No matter how young or senior-eee those pets might be.
That's our reason for partnering with Girl Scout Troop 10167 in collecting donations for their Pet Food & Toy Drive for West Columbia Gorge Humane Society.
All pets... big, small, brave, scared, bald, fluffy, happy, or grumpy, deserve to be showered with endless moments of love.
WellHaven DTV team aren't poets,
And we know it.
The most important thing to remember is ...love rhymes with love.
If you'd like to help us in supporting Girl Scout Troop 10167 during their Pet Food and Toy Drive feel free to drop off your donation at the WellHaven in Downtown Vancouver.
All treats, toys, food, etc that is collected will be donated to The West Columbia Gorge Humane Society.
Donations will be accepted until December 17th.
