Dixie came in to be spayed yesterday and instantly stole our hearts, not just with her sweet personality, but also her matching strawberry outfit with her surgical technician, Shannon! 🐾💕

These two were total twins, and yes… Dixie even snuck in a little kiss for the camera. 🥹❤️ It’s moments like these that remind us why we love what we do.

🎉 Join us in welcoming Dr. Hadank to Sycamore! A recent graduate, she’s officially beginning her veterinary journey with us, and we couldn’t be more excited to have her on the team. We’re looking forward to all the compassion and care she’ll bring to our Sycamore family! 💙🐾

Dr. Hadank is a proud double Hokie, having earned both her undergraduate and veterinary degrees from Virginia Tech. While she’s passionate about keeping all of her patients healthy and comfortable, she has special interests in physical rehabilitation, neurology, and orthopedics. Having grown up in the Midlothian area, Dr. Hadank is excited to begin her veterinary career back in her hometown.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Hadank enjoys reading, cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals as well as any Hokie sports team, and spending time with friends and family (especially her Border Collie, Cooper).

As we celebrate Independence Day with fireworks, BBQs, and fun in the sun, don’t forget to keep your furry family members safe and comfortable!

🐾 Pet Safety Tips:
• Keep pets indoors during fireworks — the loud noises can be very frightening!
• Make sure they’re microchipped and wearing ID tags, just in case.
• Avoid sharing holiday foods — many are unsafe for pets.
• Keep sparklers, glow sticks, and other party items out of reach.

Originally from the Philly suburbs, Dr. Thoder made his way to Richmond after graduating from Virginia Tech to start his veterinary career. He’s passionate about providing top-notch care and making meaningful connections with both pets and their people. 💙

Outside the clinic, he’s a self-proclaimed cinephile 🎬, enjoys cooking up new recipes 👨‍🍳, staying active 🏋️‍♂️, and spending time with family and friends.
