This tick has been on display for us to show people for a while. After months in a sealed container without any additional feeding, she laid eggs. This demonstrates how long a tick can remain dormant and how many eggs one female can lay. Remember, ticks become active again in the fall, so continue with preventive
measures.
If you encounter a small pile of jelly-like balls in your garden, act immediately! These are tick eggs and they're set to hatch soon. Either set them on fire or destroy them by soaking in isopropyl alcohol. Be sure to wear gloves if you handle the nest, as it contains hundreds of tick eggs that will hatch in a few weeks. I believe it's important to share this post because tick bites can be dangerous.

Morning. Please make sure that if you must travel with your pets these days when it's so hot, please carry water and a bowl for them. Do not leave them in a car for very long at all. The temperature in your car can be up to 20 degrees hotter inside even with the windows open or cracked.
Taking your pet for a walk should be done early morning and late afternoon. If you can not touch the side walk with the palm of your hand for 7 seconds , It's too hot to walk your pet. If you must, stay on green grass. Stay out of dry grass,foxtails.

Just a reminder folks as the days get hotter. Please consider leaving pets home . If you must travel please pack up cold water. Never leave your pet in your car even with windows cracked. The inside of a car will always be 10- 20 degrees Hotter . Be cautious with yourselves as well. Carry your water with you. One bottle with electrolyts per day too to replace important minerals being lost due to just dring water.
OK again be safe and prepared it's going to get hotter yet!
