๐พ๐ Dotty ๐ Almost 15 Years of Love ๐ Lhasa Apso ๐๐พ
Amy writes, "Dotty June Vroman, 4/2/11 - 1/25/26
My small but mighty Dotty Dog went to heaven on Sunday. She was my loyal friend for just shy of 15 years. A tiny little bed hog, she was known to sleep on her face and tolerated struggle snuggles every morning. She collected more nicknames than most because of her many different hairstylesโFrenchie, Muffin, Squeedle, Jeedles, Munchie, and Goobles. Dotty wore her mean mustache proudly and gave it to any dog, cat or horse that needed it, and happily gave us daily doses of her infamous beard-juice sprinkler.
She showed off her signature tricks like fist bump, bro fist, and her backwards neck move. After a bath, sheโd breakdance on a towel and loved to play โarctic foxโ and attack your hand under a blanket. She loved to take off running when let out to pottyโIโm sure every neighbor has seen me in my bathrobe and slippers. She was a very spoiled girl, loving her almost-daily beef bone. We joked that she could build a skeleton out of her collection of bones.
She hated scooters and skateboards, baths, and going to the groomers. Dotty couldnโt stand wearing clothes but proudly wore her fancy Christmas collar. She was never a fan of sizzling stoves that set off the smoke alarm, and she especially hated it when the girls did the โfartmanโ noise.
Dotty was the ultimate road-trip buddy, always ready to โget in the bagโ for an adventure. She spent many days at the beach playing in the water, chasing seagulls and napping in the sand.
She loved going boating, sticking her head out the car window, riding on the back of my bike in a crate, and feeling the wind in her face. She was happiest playing in the snow and sledding, laying in puddles, along lake edges, and in the ocean. She loved chasing birds, chickens, cats, and the occasional coyote. She loved walks and adventures around the property, camping trips where she could get gloriously dirty, and visiting GiGiโs house to take walks in the park and keep the neighborhood in order. She loved talking to her best neighbor dog friend, Koda, and leaving him p*e mail. Dotty loved guarding the house from her favorite spot on the couch and curling up on any floor blanket. She loved unwrapping presents, leaving presents under the Christmas tree ๐, playing with her squeaky toys, and working on her snuffle ball filled with beef livers. And of course, she never passed up her favorite treatsโbeef livers, fruit, 10% of your ice cream, and pup cups.
My heart aches with the loss of her. I can still hear her many noises and feel her next to me. Iโll love you forever, my Dotty Girl."
Thank you so much for sharing your precious memories of your Dotty Girl with us ๐
