In general the ancient Chinese medical texts cite that they enter the Lung, Spleen and Liver. The flavor of Dates is sweet, and they are considered to be warm in temperature (good for those with cold constitutions and in the colder seasons!)

Dates are considered a Blood Tonic food, helping to build blood. That's probably because they are high in iron and B vitamins. They help regulate digestion and they contain organic sulfur compounds which help support a healthy immune system response. Remove the pits before feeding to your pets.
