It’s almost 2 am and Mika is in a mood. I have given her a treat and put her to her bed and yet here she is fussing. She is the oldest fur baby here. Her birthday is February 27 and she will be 16… I think. As I said it’s almost 2 am and she isn’t letting me sleep.
Mika has osteoarthritis and Cushing’s she is on medication for these in a few weeks she will go in for a full work up. I want to see if her medications are still working for her or if she needs an increase. 
Most of the time she sleeps. She usually doesn’t when we have a bad storm coming, she thinks she needs treats or she is just in a terrible mood.
Recently, she has been wanting more fruit. If you know anything about Mika she is a food snob. I have cut up apples, peeled oranges and given her pineapple and she has begged for me. She doesn’t grasp that she has to eat these things in moderation.
She is on a weight loss dog food that I get from the vet. It is a perscription. Because of her condition we have to help her maintain her weight. She isn’t happy about this in any way at all.
That’s our posting from Stewie’s Place for now. I will be sharing photos of the snacks that are acceptable here as well as a dog food I occasionally pickup when Chewy is held up.
