This is Barry! He's a 15 year old healthy male green iguana and he's in search of a new home currently. It's just gotten to the point where his loving previous owners just can't provide for him anymore, which is totally okay! He's not very friendly, but could still make a good friend with some work. Feel free to share and send anyone our way who may be interested, just send us a message. (He's not this green in person it's just the lighting!)

Kincaid got himself another smooth front caiman!

*DISCLAIMER* crocodilians are NOT pets and will always require more space than the average Joe will be able to give them. They will get big enough to cause great bodily harm even at this small size she can still take off a finger and even at this smaller size her owner was not able to maintain her or her attitude. Please reconsider owning any crocodilians as 9/10 times they end up in rescues, sanctuaries, or unfortunately dumped in the wild

Today is worldwide snake day! There's over 3500 different species of snakes, and they actually are found on every continent other than Antarctica! (I don't blame them) We love snakes, and both of us have our own personal collections we keep and take care of! We'd love to see any of yours in the comments!

Reptiles are incredibly good at hiding signs of illness. Unlike lots of other pets, they often won’t show obvious symptoms until a problem has already progressed. Because they are cold blooded, their immune systems are different than a warm blooded animal. Sometimes meaning it takes months and months to fight off illnesses that seem simple.
This is why paying attention to small changes matters. A reptile acting differently, refusing food, becoming less active, having changes in breathing, shedding issues, unusual behavior, or anything that just seems “off” should never be ignored.
Regular checkups with an experienced vet can help catch problems early. Waiting until a reptile is visibly very sick can make treatment much harder, and sometimes by then they are already struggling. Our reptiles rely completely on us to notice the little things and provide the care they need. Reptiles may be quiet about their problems, but they still need the same level of care and attention as any other pet!

We would like to announce that janglelegs, the spiny tail iguana is available for adoption, please understand how big these guys get and how defensive they can be, he is NOT a beginner species nor is he friendly. He's been a long term resident here with us and we're hoping to find him someone willing to work with him and willing to give him what he needs. Interested parties will be thoroughly checked to be certain of proper placement. If you think you'd be interested and fit the bill, reach out to us for more information
