The accuracy 💯 thank you for your patience. Our days don’t always go as planned and a simple “are they ready soon” is the straw it takes the break the camels back.

Anxiety trigger for almost all groomers that we never talk about.🐾
The dreaded question...how long will this take.
45 minutes to 4 plus hours 🤷‍♀️
Scenario
You have a 10 am for Fluff Butt cutie pants.
You come in we talk and if all goes well you pick up Fluff Butt around 12:30... in the mean time... we wash fluff butt and get him drying and the noon appointment shows up at 11:15 so you stop to check them in and chat. You come back to and Fluff Butt has p*ed a river and and is covered in p**p and p*e. So the new dog is put up and Fluff butt is pulled out for another bath. You start bathing and you are covered in soap and someone comes in.
The person to pick up their dog that was ready at 10:30 is here.
You chit chat check them out but you can't start your noon because you have to start over on Fluff.
You are almost done with fluff and the owners call to see why it is taking so long.
All your concentration is on Fluff now.
Your Noon is still not started and you have another dog coming in soon.
You are full of anxiety and rushing which will cause you to send out a bad groom.
Then the phone rings....
Lastly in walks in a dog that isn't matted according to the owner he gets there and welp matted and very territorial of personal space so you have to spend 10 minutes coaxing him out a kennel.
See how this can snowball quick.

I promise we never are trying to keep your dog longer than they should be here.
Nothing happened today but it does every week.
I have heard lots of complaints about my last groomer kept them all day.
Even in the best run grooming salon it happens.
The variables are great.
I promise I will let you know if we have an issue and when they are ready :)

Madelyn is now offering creative grooming on Tuesdays and Thursdays!

Would you like some red and green holiday toes? Or maybe a favorite color on the tail?

All dyes are pet friendly and will come out in a few washes. Her starting prices are $20 and will increase based on amount and detail. She’s still learning so this is a great opportunity to get your pups toes wet!

It was like a dream, where you know where you are and who you are with but it’s just not real…

Took the new shop for a spin today and other than a few small hiccups, it ran rather smooth! Can’t wait to see you here!!

Lots of blood, sweat and tears has gone into this project. Thanks to all my faithful customers we all get to reap the benefits of this upgrade. An idea has turned into reality and we can’t wait to see you there!

I want to formally introduce my sister, Madelyn! Madelyn has been helping out in the shop for about the last year, but she’s picking up a few more days so we can keep providing the quality care you and your pups have come to expect here at the Pawmill!

Madelyn has many years of experience working with dogs. And has spent the last year as my apprentice and is doing a phenomenal job!

If you see her in the shop give her a warm welcome! She is every bit as qualified to assess and check in your dogs as I am! I am so excited to officially have her as part of my team and she can’t wait to meet all of you!

Dog grooming is physically demanding, hands-on work that requires skill, strength, and patience. Groomers handle unpredictable animals, stand for hours, lift heavy dogs, and perform detailed grooming—often without the dog staying still.

Love your groomer and tip them appropriately for the hard work they provide, or do it yourself.
