Weโ€™re excited to welcome several wonderful newcomers who have recently arrived at Jefferson County Humane Society! These sweet animals are hoping to find loving forever families, and weโ€™re thrilled to introduce them to everyone who has a heart for animals in need.

Weโ€™ll start by introducing a family of four dogs who came in together, along with a few other new canine and feline friends who are now part of our care.

Yeller (Male) โ€“ Retriever / Labrador Age: 2-3 years

Lassie (Female) โ€“ Husky / Retriever / Labrador Mix Age: 2-3 years

Lala (Female) โ€“ Husky / Retriever / Labrador Mix Age: 5-6 mo.

Luna (Female) โ€“ Husky / Retriever / Labrador Mix Age: 5-6 mo.

Lily (Female) โ€“ Australian Cattle Dog Age: 7 years

Charles (Male) โ€“ DSH, Orange Tabby Age: 4-4.5 years

Coconut (Female) โ€“ DSH, Orange & White Age: 3-4 years

We would like to share with you one of our volunteers, Debby Walker. Debby actually works for PetSmart in Topeka but for 10 years after her shift she cleans the cat kennels takes home dirty linen to wash, deep cleans kennels as cats are adopted. She loves cats and is a joy to work with. Debby may work behind the scenes but all her love and care are felt by every cat that has been adopted through PetSmart. Thank you Debby for all you do.
