This is Casper, a 21-month-old Great Pyrenees who became known as the “John Wick of dogs.” Last weekend, on the farm where he lives, a pack of 11 coyotes came after the sheep he was guarding. Most dogs would have run away, but Casper did not. He fought with everything he had, finishing off 8 of the coyotes while the remaining 3 fled.
After the fight, Casper disappeared for two days. He was not hiding, he was still tracking the rest of the coyotes. When his owner finally found him, Casper was alive but badly injured. His body was covered in bites and deep cuts, and the vet said it was a miracle he survived.
Despite the wounds, his spirit was unbroken. He had given everything to protect the animals he was raised to guard. His owner, proud but deeply worried, decided Casper had earned his retirement. He had already done more than anyone could ever expect from a dog.
Word of his bravery spread quickly, and people started calling him the John Wick of dogs. Like the movie hero, he never backed down, no matter the odds. Casper’s story is one of loyalty, sacrifice, and a heart that refused to quit. Now, instead of guarding sheep, he will rest and recover because a hero like him has more than earned his peace.
