hi

09/10/2026

I was terrified he'd be jealous. He wasn't. He was just... gentle. 😭

We brought her home yesterday and I honestly didn't know what to expect from Biscuit. He's never been around a baby in his life. But the second we set the carrier down, he didn't run, didn't hide — he just crept closer, sniffed carefully, and then laid down right beside her like he'd been waiting for this exact moment.

He hasn't left that spot since. Every time she makes a sound, his ears go up before mine do.

I always heard Maine C**ns were "gentle giants," but I didn't understand what that really meant until I watched a 20-pound cat lie down next to my daughter like a bodyguard on his first shift.

Drop a 🧡 if you've ever seen a big cat go soft for a tiny human. Welcome to the family, Biscuit. You've got a job now.

Due date is in 9 days and my cat REFUSES to let this bag leave the house without him in it. 🥹

Every time I try to finish packing for the hospital, Biscuit climbs in and lies right on top of everything, chin resting on the baby blanket like he's guarding it. I've re-packed this bag four times because of him.

My husband keeps joking that Biscuit thinks the baby is "his" too. Honestly? After watching him do this every single night this week, I don't think he's wrong. This cat has never cared about a bag in his life until there was a baby blanket in it.

I don't know what's waiting for us at the hospital, but I know exactly who's going to be waiting by the door when we bring her home.

Drop a 🧡 if your pet "adopted" a new baby before it even arrived. Tag a mama-to-be who needs to see this.

I almost didn't adopt him because everyone said Maine C**ns were "too much cat" for a small apartment. 😭

Three years later, Biscuit taps his bowl with one paw like he's ringing a bell for room service, and I have never once regretted it. He "talks" to me all day — little chirps and trills instead of meowing, like he's got too much to say for a normal cat sound.

My mom used to say my grandpa "talked" to his cats the same way, had full conversations with them at the kitchen table. I never understood it until Biscuit started doing this. Now I get it completely.

If your cat "talks" more than meows, you already know exactly what I mean. Drop a 🧡 and tell me what sound your cat makes instead of meowing.
We recently created a little guide inspired by our life with Luna. If you’d like to support our first creation, it would mean so much to us. 💜

He does this every single afternoon at exactly 3:15pm. 😢

I used to work from an office. Now I work from home, and Biscuit has decided that "quitting time" is whenever the sun hits that spot on the couch — not whenever my boss says. Every day around 3pm he climbs up, finds his sunbeam, and falls asleep like the whole world can wait for him.

Today my dad — who passed last spring — used to nap in that exact same spot, in that exact same sunlight, every afternoon of my childhood. I didn't plan for Biscuit to pick that couch arm. He just did.

Some days it makes me smile. Today it made me cry a little, watching him stretch out in the same golden light.

Drop a 🧡 if you've ever had a pet somehow "become" a piece of someone you lost.

🐾 This little book started with Luna. 💜

It wasn’t created because we wanted to make “just another cat guide.”

It came from the little things Luna taught us every day…
the things we noticed, the moments we struggled with, the questions we had, and the things we learned simply by living life together.

So we put those real experiences into one place — The Maine C**n Companion Guide. 📖

It’s our first little creation, and honestly… sharing it with you feels a little scary. 🥺

If you love your Maine C**n like family, we hope you’ll take a look and support Luna’s first story.

Maybe it can help you understand your own Maine C**n a little better, too. 🐱💜

Luna worked so hard on her first little creation… 🥺💜

She thought everyone would love it.
But… nobody seemed to like it.

And honestly, watching her get a little disappointed broke our hearts. 🐾

But sometimes, the things we create with love don’t get the reaction we hoped for.

That doesn’t mean they aren’t special.

Luna’s first creation may not have been perfect… but it came from a heart full of love. 💜

And that’s exactly why we created something for the people who understand that feeling — the people who know their Maine C**n isn’t “just a cat.”
