Hi I'm BIG Theo, I am a large male Great Pyrenees mix. I love people of all ages and do well with kids. I have previously lived with other dogs and do well with other playful dogs about my size. I like to keep my kennel very clean (aside from all the hair, sorry) and I am very well potty trained! I would do best in a home with a large fenced in yard as I like to wander and explore! If I sound like your cup of tea, come meet me today!

Our dear community,

Our hearts are heavy with the unknown tonight, but the light that continues to emerge among all of this is the strength and grace of this amazing community. We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the amount of you who have asked how you can help, who have brought supplies and offered your home to animals in need. There are so many in need right now, and RAS can use your help. This virus is making a significant financial toll on RAS. Our organization has been forced to reduce some significant programs that impact the financial well-being of our shelter.

Our usually bustling building now feels empty, but there are so many hopeful furry faces looking back at us. We are devoted to this community and will continue to serve to the best of our ability, but we can’t do it alone. We need your help, your support so that we can continue to offer pet food to those in need and other assistance to those affected by COVID-19.

I am asking you today, to please help us continue to offer this support by making an urgent gift.

Thank you to all of you who are out there combating this virus and sacrificing so much, we all need each other. Though we may not be together, we will continue to stand together with strength and grace as this great community always has.

Bruce the Mountain Dog, 2007-2019.
It’s with a heavy heart and teary eyes that we say goodbye to this sweet soul. Bruce was a friend to all and the biggest love sponge you’d ever meet. He was our “first born” and made us a family, for that I am forever grateful.

When we adopted Bruce, he was 6 years old and his name was Zeus, he didn’t hike and was terrified of any kind of water. He quickly got in shape and learned to love the hiking trails and over time even got his paws wet crossing streams and cooling down on a hot summer day. We’d go on to have countless adventures and as our family grew, there was always Bruce. Thank you to everyone that has loved on him over the years, whether you let him sleep on your pillow or he made you p*e your pants a little bit when he let out those big barks, we’re thankful for all the love he has soaked up and given back.

Thanks for being a good boy, Bruce. See you on the other side. 💙
