It’s the morning after our Easter Weekend Dressage Derby, and let’s be honest… most of us spent the night dreaming about that fabulous brunch buffet. (Yes, we’re still thinking about that quiche.)

Huge thanks to the incredible Ramirez family, Nicole, and Delanee for spending their weekend whipping up Sunday’s feast — that Easter brunch has officially reached legendary status. Every dish was a hit, and we’re considering turning this into a weekly event. (Just kidding… unless?)

A big shoutout to everyone who joined the Easter Egg Hunt and traded in their finds for Dressage Bucks at the show office — genius idea from our show secretary Laurie! Kids and adults alike went full detective mode for those eggs, and the prizes were so worth it.

We’re feeling extra grateful for such a joyful, laughter-filled, and very well-fed show experience. Thanks to everyone who made it magical — we can’t wait to welcome everyone again for our next Derby, May 23 - 25!

What a fantastic day at CNDC! Day two of the April Dressage Derby was a sweeping success, filled with sunshine, smiles, and some seriously impressive riding.

We kicked things off with a lovely Easter brunch — complete with delicious treats that were enjoyed by all (and maybe a few sneaky Easter bunnies too)!

The rides by everyone representing Team CNDC left little to be desired. We saw fantastic freestyles at the highest level and some really promising first show appearances by our youngest.

Our very own homebred stallion Velantis N dazzled with a 76.5% at Third Level! If you’re on the hunt for a top-notch breeding stallion, don’t forget Velantis is available through Eurequine, LLC.

Day 1 of the April Dressage Derby is in the books!

Team CNDC is off to a fantastic start with strong rides across the board.

A special shoutout to our junior riders—several of whom were showing for the very first time—who kicked off their season with impressive scores and even bigger smiles. We’re so proud of the hard work and team spirit on display yesterday.

Day two at the April dressage show at Rancho Murieta was another success for CNDC!

Lilian and Fürst Felix delivered a lovely Children’s Individual Test, earning another score over 70%, and Christian and Velantis impressed the judges in the FEI 7-Year-Old Final Test with a combined score over 77%. These results should place both Christian and Lillian in the top three for their respective divisions for qualification at this point for the championships in Chicago later this summer.

Way to go Team CNDC!

CNDC had a great first day at the Golden State April Dressage Show at Rancho Murieta!

Christian and Velantis tackled the FEI 7-Year-Old Preliminary Test, while Lilian and Fuerst Felix rode a beautiful Children’s Team Test with both pairs scoring well over 70%!

Given that we only trailered in for the day, our horses were fantastic—feeling strong and focused. Excited for tomorrow’s rides!

One of our favorite times of year has finally arrived—pasture season!

After several weeks of slow acclimation, the horses are officially back out on the grass. There’s nothing quite like seeing them grazing peacefully, stretching their legs, and soaking up the spring sunshine. ☀️

It’s a joy to watch them enjoy the fresh air and open space again. Here’s to green grass, happy horses, and the beauty of spring!

We had an incredible time working with the Sacramento Valley Chapter of the California Dressage Society (SVCCDS) to host the Cavaletti Clinic with Erika Jansson this weekend! About 25 horse and rider combinations came together for two days of fun, learning, and perfect spring weather ☀️

Day 1 focused on straight-line exercises, while Day 2 brought in circle work at both trot and canter. The horses had a blast, and everyone walked away with new tools and inspiration to bring into their training 🐴

Huge thanks to Erika for sharing her knowledge and positive energy, and to all the riders who joined us! We’re already looking forward to the next one with Erika Jansson!!!

👶 🐴 Exciting News from CNDC!
We are absolutely thrilled to announce the arrival of our first foal of the year — an adorable filly by our own stallion Velantis N and our homebred mare Aurelia (by Ampere)! 🐴✨

This stunning filly is a full sibling to Veritas N, last year’s American Hanoverian society Foal Inspection Winner and Gold Medal Award Recipient 🏅— and she’s already promising to follow in her big brother’s hoofprints 🐾.

We’re over the moon to welcome this special little one to the CNDC family ❤️. Stay tuned for more updates (and lots of cute photos)!

The CNDC Spring Derby is April 19 & 20 and we are ready to have some fun!

Easter is Sunday April 20th, and we plan to make the day a celebration of Spring.

🎉 Team CNDC Shines at Golden State March Mania! 🎉

Huge congratulations to Team CNDC for an incredible performance this weekend.

Carla had great rides on Monica McGue’s horses, Night to Remember RTH (2nd level) and Patronus RTH (1st level) both earning scores of 70% and Patronus even securing a Daily Highpoint award for his 73% ride. She also won her PSG classes both days on CNDC’s homebred Qunique N with scores to 69%!

A special shoutout to Nate, who joined us for his first show away from home with his horse Windsor and did a fantastic job!

Plus, Christian and Velantis N made an impressive debut in the FEI Seven-Year-Old class, scoring over 74%!

We couldn’t be more proud of the hard work and dedication that went into this success. Way to go, Team CNDC and thanks to everyone who made it possible!
