A post I’ve struggled to make. Last week we said the hardest goodbye to our bestest good girl Paloma. As an older giant breed dog she struggled with pain & mobility for the last couple years that was managed with medication. Recently it had gotten to the point that medications were no longer helping and she was having more bad days than good. She was a true warrior until the very end, insisting on protecting the herd when she could barely walk. She loved fiercely and was such a special girl who made so many people smile. Even people afraid of dogs loved Paloma. She was my work partner on the ranch, my constant sidekick and best buddy. Big thanks to Rhodie's Rescue who saved her from her original horrible situation and her foster family for showing her love before we adopted her. I always thought we’d have more time together, she was such a huge part of our family and we already miss her so much.
