Our owner and self-proclaimed “crazy dog lady” had taken her dogs to the same groomer for over 10 years when her groomer moved away. After trying out several different groomers in the Des Moines area, she realized how lucky she was to have had a groomer that she could not only trust, but also listened to her concerns and treated her dogs with compassion. We decided to open Bark Shop with these key

attributes in mind. We saw that Des Moines needed a new grooming concept where the staff is compassionate to each animal’s situation and treats your pets like family. Habla espanol :)

Our deshedding treatment includes: a high quality deshedding shampoo, extra blow drying, and lots of brushing of course!! Our Groomers get an excellent arm workout with every deshed!

Double coated such as Huskies, German Shepherds, Malamutes, Corgis, etc. benefit from this treatment to keep them as cool as possible during warm weather. ☀️
