Please join us in welcoming Dr. Payton Thompson to The Pet Clinic of Urbana this June! 🐾

Dr. Thompson earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2026. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in veterinary science with a minor in business from Morehead State University.

Dr. Thompson has special interests in feline medicine and cardiology, but her favorite part of veterinary medicine is building relationships with clients and caring for their beloved pets.

Originally from Cedarville, Ohio, Dr. Thompson grew up on a farm, where her love for animals began at a young age. She now lives in Dublin with her fiancé, Connor, and their four cats: Sam Hubbard, Amy, Sox, and Celery.

Outside of the clinic, you can find her at the barn, attending county and state fairs, trying new restaurants, or golfing!

We are so excited to have Dr. Thompson joining our team and cannot wait for our clients and patients to meet her this summer! 🧡

✨ Staff Spotlight: Alex! ✨

Alex joined our team about a month ago, and she has already become such an important part of The Pet Clinic family 🧡

She has been in veterinary medicine for 7 years and lives in Rushsylvania with her fiancé. Last week we celebrated her birthday 🎂 and this week our supurrvisor, Hobbs, finally approved her employment after extensive investigation 🐈✔️

We feel incredibly lucky to have Alex caring for our patients (and spoiling our clinic cats). Be sure to say hi when you see her around the clinic!
