History is taking flight right here in Urbana! ✈️🇺🇸

There’s nothing quite like the sound of a B-25 bomber roaring over Grimes Field. On Saturday, August 22nd, you have a rare chance to step back in time and experience a ride in one of these incredible WWII aircraft at the Champaign Aviation Museum.

It’s such a proud moment for our community to host these historic treasures. Whether you’re an aviation buff or just looking for a unique Saturday adventure, it’s an event the whole family will remember. Watching these planes take off against our summer sky is truly a sight to behold!

After you’ve had your fill of history at the hangar, why not make a full day of it? Head downtown for a stroll and swing by Wags Bakery & Grooming.
