I had an opportunity to train this weekend! Oakley has 2 legs towards her Senior Hunt test title. This is her first time back in the feild since last fall! She has missed a beat!

I have had the pleasure of helping Joel Neve train Nelly his 2 yr old female. She put everything together today! 4guys 2 1/2 hours, she pointed most of the 11 wild roosters and retrieved all of them! I love to get reports like this! Thanks for sharing and here is too many years of upland hunting with Nelly!!!

Well Oakley and I had another Great Day, at the Iowa Brittany Club Hunt test. earned her second leg towards her Senior Title. With 2 points 2 retrieves and a Back. Was very windy.

The Iowa Brittany Club held their fall Hunt test today! I ran Oakley at the Senior level! First time for both of us. We passed! I didn't let her down and she has my back!! I actually can say I enjoyed it!

Jerry Jordan passed away last night! He gave me my first Brittany when I was 12 yrs old- 1995. I still love Brittanys! Rest in Peace and may he run his dogs on the other side!

Occasionally, people tell me oh, it's only a dog or... well, that's a lot of money for just a dog.
They see the travel distance, the time spent and spending of the money for just a dog, and they don't understand.
Hour after hour passes and my only company is just a dog.
Some of my most proud moments were with only a dog, and also some of my saddest moments came by only a dog.
But in those dark days, it was the gentle touch of only a dog that made me strong and motivated to keep going.
Only a dog brings me pure friendship, trust and perfect happiness. Only a dog brings compassion and patience with me which makes me a better person.
Only a dog, I'm up early, I'll take long walks and I look forward to the future.
Only a dog, that introduced me to some of the closest people in my life.
For people like me, it is not " just a dog.
But an embodiment of all the hopes and dreams for the future, many a happy memory from the past and the pure joy for the present. If you also think so like and copy, as I did.
